History
NA Ware is a pioneer in the development of mobile wireless computing solutions for healthcare. The company has evolved from a provider of computer network services and wireless installations in hospitals to a designer and manufacturer of wireless mobile computing workstations. In 1998, the company added a proprietary battery power system for healthcare workstations.

In November 2004, the manufacturing and corporate offices were moved from Annapolis, MD to Marble Falls, TX - 40 miles West of Austin, Texas. The new facilities include offices and light manufacturing facilities on a 3.5 acre site. The company continues to be self-contained, with the capability of assembling batteries, carts and installing components on site.

NA Ware is the premier provider of integrated point of care workstations for hospitals, offering a variety of mobile wireless computing models tailor-made to requirements in the OR, ER, ICU, patient floors, pharmacy and registration.

Engineering Experience
NA Ware has had a long history in a young industry. Because of its experience with computers, wireless, manufacturing and peripheral devices, NA Ware has a unique insight into what is required to deliver products to market. The company's engineering experience has encompassed the design and manufacturing of computer carts and a Power Distribution System to provide long run time in healthcare. NA Ware has introduced many innovations to the industry and has a reputation as a custom integrator of computers, monitors, and other peripheral devices required on the carts by hospitals. This experience has facilitated the troubleshooting and timely resolution of problems.

Product Customization
NA Ware has a reputation for delivering custom-manufactured mobile wireless computing devices in healthcare. NA Ware's mission is to consult with hospitals to deliver the most up-to-date, technically-advanced, utilitarian carts possible. It is essential to be able to integrate a wide variety of devices on the carts in order to meet requirements and minimize the number of rolling apparatuses that practitioners wheel around.

NA Ware Retrofitting Services
NA Ware is unique in its ability to retrofit new and used medication carts built by leading manufacturers and make them more useful. Thousands of medication carts currently in use transport medications from the Pharmacy or medication management stations (e.g., Pyxis, AcuDose-RX from McKesson) to the patient. There is, however, no electronic record of the medication, dosage, recipient of the medication, dispensing practitioner, and time dispensed. By upgrading these carts with computers, monitors, bar code scanners and power systems, errors can be significantly reduced. In addition, this information then is immediately and safely stored for future reference and accessibility on hospital servers.

NA Ware upgrades current cart hardware regardless of brand
A recent case in point involved a major Pennsylvania hospital system where over 200 medication carts were placed in service. The hospital was faced with the cost/benefit decision of whether to buy entirely new, fully equipped computer carts or enhance the value of their existing assets. They selected NA Ware to upgrade existing carts with wireless devices. The project was rolled out over a series of months with the retrofit work done on site to minimize the disruption to the hospital.
